Home / Services / Regional revitalization

Building businesses that stay in the region, together with the people there.

The further you are from the big cities, the harder it is to find program information and people who can write the plans. We work with municipalities, chambers of commerce and local businesses, from planning to day-to-day operations.

Launching and running hometown tax donation programs

A hometown tax donation program doesn't end when the return gifts go online. Orders, purchasing, pickup, shipping and donor inquiries all have to run every day. Our e-commerce and customer support specialists handle that work.

  1. Program design

We organize the municipality's operating structure and design a program that works as a business.

  2. Local business participation

Briefing sessions to bring local businesses on board as return-gift suppliers.

  3. Return-gift products

Return-rate design, bundles and larger sets, and supplier negotiations.

  4. Listing and e-commerce operations

From portal listings to the order, purchasing, pickup and shipping workflow.

  5. Donor support (CS)

We set up the inquiry desk, build the inquiry management system and FAQ, and answer donors. During the year-end peak we adjust supply and demand through shipping schedules and split pickups.

  6. Reporting

In-house reporting tools and regular reports to the municipality.

For one municipality we handled everything from launch to operation, and first-year donations exceeded JPY 100 million, a record at the time (as reported by the municipality).

Combined to fit the size and stage of each region.

  • Working with government, policymakers, licensed professionals and regulated industries

Regional projects move forward only with municipalities, national agencies, local policymakers, licensed professionals and businesses that need permits. Working with all of them is one of our strengths. In Fukushima's Hamadori region we support incoming businesses together with the Central Policy Research Institute and the Fukushima Soso Reconstruction Public-Private Joint Team.

  • Joint projects and subsidies for local businesses

From setting up a joint structure led by a chamber of commerce or similar body to applying for the joint type of the Small Business Sustainability Subsidy.

  • Attracting data centers and AI companies

Data centers and AI infrastructure need land, power and a long-term cost advantage. Working with a policy think tank and a public-private reconstruction organization, we designed a one-stop program that brings operators into a region: matching national and prefectural subsidy schemes to capital and electricity costs, securing sites together with the local government, and supporting applications through to performance reports.

  • Factory siting and commercialization

In Fukushima's Hamadori region we have planned new factories and commercialization projects with local companies and government since our first approval in 2018.

  • E-commerce and DX for local businesses

E-commerce sites and order, inventory and billing systems that local businesses struggle to build alone, combined with subsidies.

  • Application support for small businesses

A chat-based application support system that semi-automated the process let us support many businesses in a short time: 332+ applications during the pandemic.

For municipalities, chambers of commerce and local businesses

Launching or turning around a hometown tax donation program, or a joint project by local businesses. An idea is enough to start.
